Vector Smart Chain Introduces Fixed Gas Fees and Appoints Former CitiGroup CFO
Vector Smart Chain has taken a significant step toward mainstream adoption by appointing a former CitiGroup executive and implementing a fixed gas fee model. The MOVE addresses long-standing uncertainty around transaction costs in blockchain networks.
Effective May 9, all transactions on Vector Smart Chain will carry a flat $4 fee. This predictable pricing structure is designed to attract enterprise clients, a key demographic for VSC. The chain’s hybrid consensus mechanism already offers high throughput and near-instant finality—features that align with corporate needs.
"The $4 gas fee isn’t arbitrary—it’s carefully designed to balance network security and accessibility. We’re removing the guesswork from blockchain," a VSC spokesperson stated. The fixed fee model could set a precedent for other chains struggling with volatile transaction costs.
